California Wine Economic Impact - The California wine industry has an annual impact of $45.4 billion on the state’s economy, growing nearly 40 percent from 1998 to 2002, and producing the number one finished agricultural product in the state, according to an 81-page report released by the Wine Institute and California Association of Winegrape Growers at the World Trade Club in San Francisco.
